Never Date the Boss!

Okay, we get it—sometimes people fall in love at work. But there's a big difference between getting cozy with a coworker on your level, and dating the boss. According to research, starting a relationship with your boss is a no-win-situation for you. Why? It puts you in a vulnerable position. If you break up, you're in an awkward spot and, depending on the guy, he could make your work life total hell.

And if you stay together, people will find out—no matter how discrete you are. Once that happens, any work success you have, like a promotion or raise, will be seen as a result of your relationship, not your hard work. Coworkers might also get jealous and try to sabotage you on the job (lame, but it happens).
Plus, if there's a company policy against it or someone can prove that you've gotten perks as the result of being the boss's girl, you're jeopardizing both of your careers.
